O'Neill linked with Leicester

REPUBLIC of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill is being linked with the vacant Leicester City post.

There is speculation that O’Neill might be tempted by the Foxes role following Nigel Pearson’s dismissal on Tuesday.

Former Glasgow Celtic and current Bolton Wanderers boss Neil Lennon, who played under O’Neill at Leicester, is also viewed as another potential candidate.

Sam Allardyce, who recently parted company with West Ham United, is the early favourite, though, with most firms.

O’Neill previously guided Leicester to two League Cup successes and would be viewed as a popular choice by Foxes supporters to succeed Pearson.
