Irish comedy sketch brilliantly sums up how the GAA season can put strain on a relationship

IRISH comedian Rory O’Connor, the man behind online video sensation Rory’s Stories, has released a new sketch which will surely resonate with anyone whose other half plays Gaelic games.

In his latest release, Rory acts as a GAA-mad boyfriend, who can’t agree on a date for a holiday with his girlfriend because of the local championship season.

April is out of the question because it’s traditionally the first round, while August is a no-go as that’s the knock-out stages.

Surely there’s a chance of getting away in October? Not for Rory, who has dreams of finally making the county final, often held in the tenth month of the year.

“I’m with you 10 years and when was the last time you made the county final?!” says the female of the operation.

No doubt similar conversations have been held in households at home and abroad this year!
