The best thing about Iceland's win against England was the Irish reaction on Twitter

IN a match that was hard to watch for many, England suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands, or feet of Iceland last night in the knock-out stages of the Euros. 

The final score was 2-1, and the players and newly unemployed manager Roy Hodgson have been taking a verbal beating from the pundits and media since their loss, but during the game, the mood on Twitter was very different.

Twitter users, both English and Irish were seeing the funny side, celebrating Iceland's achievements and their intimidating warlike chants, as well as lamenting England's pitiful display and the punditry.

There were of course, lots of Brexit jokes, puns and GIFS, all using the hashtag #ENGICE.
