Six of the best British GAA club crests

RUGBY GAELS

Warwickshire-based Rugby Gaels have a stylish but effective crest, which features the logos of all four provinces in Ireland with the Irish tricolour on top.

Formed in 1999, the club boast players from Ulster, Leinster, Munster and Connacht, so it's a fitting crest for the current crop.

Proudly Sponsored by Quigleys Bar Rugby, they operate in Division 3 of Warwickshire GAA League.

Kilburn Gaels crest GAA

KILBURN GAELS

One of the most successful hurling clubs in London, Kilburn Gaels boast a simple yet endearing crest.

The self-proclaimed 'biggest and most vibrant hurling club' in London, Kilburn are based in the north west of the city and formed in 1997.

Their rise has been rapid, and the club narrowly missed out on All-Ireland success after losing the 2015 Intermediate Club Final to Belfast outfit O'Donovan Rossa.

North London Shamrocks crest GAANORTH LONDON SHAMROCKS

The Enfield-based GAA club have a simple but classy crest design. The club themselves have enjoyed success on the pitch lately too – in 2014 they won the Intermediate Championship in addition to the Murphy Cup, Shiels Cup and finished runners up in the All-Britain Championship.

The club were formed in 2005 by an amalgamation of St Theresa’s of Ponders End and Shannon Rovers/Sam Maguires of Wood Green to ensure that North London continued to have a GAA football club and now compete at a senior level in London.

Tir Chonaill Gaels crest GAATIR CHONAILL GAELS

The London Senior Champions pay homage to their Donegal origins with this classic badge.

Formed by Donegal men in 1962, TCG won the London Senior Football Championship for a record 16th time last year.

The club have played in many All-Ireland Club Championship quarter-finals against strong teams from Ireland, but have never been able to reach the semi-final. This year they were dumped out by a very good Clonmel Commericals outfit.

LIVERPOOL WOLFE TONESLiverpool Wolfe Tones GLC

The Merseyside club’s crest acknowledges it Liverpool-Irish roots. The club itself has revelled in success over the last few years, becoming a renowned heavyweight in the Lancashire GAA set up in a short space of time.

Newly formed in 2010 to meet the growing demands of Gaelic football and Hurling in Liverpool, the club are always on the lookout for new players and volunteers. Get in touch if you live in the L15 area.

St Benedicts Harps

ST BENEDICTS HARPS

St Benedicts Harps represent Yorkshire GAA with a classy badge that features the harp and the island of Ireland in the background.

The Leeds-based club has enjoyed recent success at junior level, winning the 2015 Yorkshire Junior League (A) and Home Grown Championship last year.

They have been runners-up in their Senior Championship for the past four years, while they also boast an array of youth sides, from U10s through to U21s.
