A PROLIFIC Irish paedophile complained about being “hounded” out of Ireland after he was handed a jail sentence in Britain yesterday.
Anthony Luckwill, 44, was caged for three months on Monday after being caught with banned devices in Fife, Scotland.
He was subject to a Sex Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) which banned him from using the internet and using certain electronic equipment.
The dangerous Dubliner was previously jailed for posing as a casting agent to sexually assault two boys four years ago.
He is already serving a 10-month sentence for a previous offence.
And on Monday, Luckwill admitted to possessing two cameras, a mobile phone and a laptop at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
The sex offender moaned to Judge Alison McKay: “I will never own a laptop again in my life. I can’t afford it.”
He also complained that he would have to sell his home in Scotland after locals learned of his history, years after he was “hounded” out of his native Dublin.
During his trial this month, the court heard how a raid of Luckwill’s home in Inverkeithing found an image of a young boy in a wheelchair.
Luckwill, who is originally from Clondalkin in the Irish capital, has a lengthy history of child sexual offences throughout England, Wales and the Isle of Man.
In 2007, he was given a 10-year SOPO by a court in Wales in a bid to protect the public.
Five years later in 2012, Luckwill was jailed for trying to lure a 14-year-old boy into a hotel in Guernsey.
He moved home to Ireland and was jailed for four-and-a-half years in Co. Meath for sexually assaulting two boys under the guise of a casting opportunity.
His 2007 SOPO expired last month and Police Scotland worked quickly to get a new order in place.
After Luckwill is released from prison in Scotland three months from now he is likely to be returned to Ireland, where the predator is subject to an outstanding arrest warrant.
