Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sent 'white powder' letter in anthrax terror scare

A SUSPECT letter containing a 'white powder' was sent to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before being intercepted, police have revealed.

The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation after the letter sparked a security scare when intercepted by terror cops.

The powder proved to be harmless but Scotland Yark is said to be on high alert ahead of the royal wedding on May 19.

Harry and American actress Meghan, who got engaged in December, were told about the incident by police.

The letter is believed to have been sent on February 12 – a day before police revealed a package containing a non-harmful white powder had been sent to the Houses of Parliament.

Police are thought to be examining whether the two incidents are linked.

In a statement, Scotland Yard said it was "aware" of the letter and officers from Counter Terrorism Command have launched an investigation.
