Police in London appeal for help in search for missing Irishman

POLICE in London are appealing for information about an Irishman last seen at the Crown Moran Hotel in Cricklewood.

John Dowdall, from Scarriff in Co Clare, vanished from the hotel last week, leaving behind his medication and valuables.

The 37-year-old, who suffers from diabetes, was last seen at the hotel in north London on Thursday, August 1.

He had been staying there since July 31.

Hotel staff notified police after they discovered his belongings - including his passport, phone, wallet and diabetes medication - had been left in his room.

Members of the Dowdall family have been searching for John in the Cricklewood area over the past few days and have appealed for information about his whereabouts on Twitter.

He is described as 5ft 7inches tall and of a large stocky build.
