Paedophile who arranged gang rape of boy, 3, on messaging app jailed for three years

A DANGEROUS paedophile who used a messaging app to plan the gang rape of a three-year-old boy has been jailed.

Nicholas Murphy, 45, went by the username ‘Horrible Nick’ when he used the smartphone application Kik Messenger to plan his vile crime.

Murphy promised another male app user that he would bring the child for them to sexually abuse together, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The depraved sicko, of Upton Green, Speke, Liverpool was arrested after undercover police infiltrated a group of ten paedophiles using Kik.

After tracing Murphy to his former home in Cheshire, police searching his phone found two online group chats with other paedophiles.

Following his arrest in September 2016, the 45-year-old had his court date delayed four times pending psychiatric evaluations.

Monster: 'Horrible Nick' Murphy arranged the abuse of a three-year-old boy online.

Initially claiming innocence, Murphy eventually pled guilty at Liverpool Crown Court and was sentenced to three years in prison earlier this month.

He was found guilty of three counts of attempting to arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sex offence.

He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life, and issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

His SHPO prevents him from having contact with children other than his own or direct family members who have given him permission.

It also bans him from using any device with an internet connection which doesn’t store a copy of his browsing history.

Additionally, if he uses a cloud-based online storage app, he must share his login details with police or face being sent back to jail.
