‘She just saved the BRITs’ – Musician Este Haim’s photobomb steals Liam Payne’s limelight at awards

MUSICIAN Este Haim stole the show at tonight’s BRIT music awards, upstaging One Direction’s Liam Payne and his partner Cheryl.

The bass player and vocalist with US band HAIM was sat in the background as Payne was interviewed by host Jack Whitehall.

Haim nonchalantly applied her lip-gloss as Whitehall jokingly quizzed Payne on his sex life with Cheryl, asking if they had a ‘safe word’.

But as Cheryl quipped that it was ‘Don’t Stop’, viewers were more interested in Haim’s antics in the background.

The musician started making clawing motions towards the camera, before making a phone gesture.

She then mouthed ‘call me’, before winking at the camera.

Despite Payne and Cheryl being two of the biggest names in pop, it was Haim’s cameo that set Twitter alight.

HAIM, which comprises sisters Este, Danielle and Alana, have had four top-40 hits in Britain and their debut album Days Are Gone reached number 1.

However some people weren’t sure who Este Haim was, branding her the ‘drunk woman’ behind Liam and Cheryl.

Music fans though were annoyed that people didn’t know who Haim was, arguing she was more talented than either Payne or Cheryl.
