Irishman dead after road crash in Thailand

AN IRISH man has died after a road collision in Thailand.

It is believed the man in his 30s was originally from Co. Longford and was working as an English teacher in the south-east Asian country.

He was killed on Tuesday, June 20, in a collision in the Chiang Rai province of northern Thailand.

The Department of Foreign Affairs told The Irish Post it is aware of the incident and is providing consular assistance.
