Irish Government launches new Brexit website promising 'all the information you need' on Ireland's future

THE IRISH government has launched a new website devoted to all things Brexit - promising to prepare the people of Ireland for the challenges the nation faces.

The site was revealed yesterday afternoon.

It includes a message from Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney, who explains: "The decision of the United Kingdom to leave the European Union has presented us in Ireland with unprecedented challenges.

"Challenges to our peace process and challenges to our prosperity."

He added: "The way in which we deal with these challenges will be a major factor in shaping the future of our island and our relationship with Britain for years to come."

"I want to make sure you have all the information you need to inform yourself about Brexit and the steps the Government is taking on your behalf to prepare for Brexit.

"This website provides you with a resource to learn about the work the Government is undertaking to protect your interests in the Brexit negotiations, and to address the consequences of Brexit here in Ireland.

"On this site, you can find out about the Government’s most recent engagements, outreach events, and ongoing consultation work on Brexit."

The new site also includes links to a wide range of Government and independent research reports that provide a broad analysis of all key issues and sectors related to Brexit.

Users are also invited to sign up for a Government Brexit Update newsletter service, via the site.

"This email alert outlines the latest Irish Government developments on Brexit preparation, outreach and supports," they expain.

The site currently includes sections on Key Documents, Government Engagement, FAQs and Research and Analysis.
