Ireland's most popular book has been revealed

If you're in need of an extremely late Christmas present for someone special, look no further.

Irish bookstore Eason decided to compile a list of the best-selling books on demand in their shops during 2017.

The Irish retailer set up a poll to ask readers what their favourite book was this year, using 10 of the most sold books from the store.

The results showed that readers much preferred non-fiction to fiction, as two books centred on Irish GAA stars such as Philly McMahon and Donal McAnallan.

The list in total reads as follows:

2. The Pursuit of Perfection by Donal McAnallen

The top spot went to one half of the Rubberbandits, Blindboy Boatclub. The socialist comedian has gone from strength to strength in 2017, with the arrival of his podcast being widely praised. His book holds several short stories which have been described as incredible, original and brilliant...
