Ireland issued second STATUS RED weather warning for all 18 counties in Munster and Leinster

THE Beast from the East isn't letting up.

Met Éireann has extended its Status Red weather alert to include every county in the provinces of Munster and Leinster.

Early this morning, the forecaster issued the warning for parts of Leinster including Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow and Meath.

Now, the Status Red alert has been extended to the remaining seven counties of Leinster, as well as all six counties in Munster.

The second warning comes into effect at 4pm and warns of “blizzard-like conditions” developing with heavy snow and strong easterly winds on Thursday evening.

It will remain in place until midday on Friday.

A Status Orange snow-ice warning, meanwhile, has been issued for the province of Connacht, as well as the Ulster counties of Cavan and Monaghan.

That warning will also remain in effect until 12pm on Friday.
