Hiker dies after rescue from Irish mountain

A MAN HAS DIED after an incident while hiking this week.

In County Kerry, a man was climbing the Mangerton Mountain when he ran into difficulties.

The 62-year-old was hiking with 2 others when he suffered cardiac problems on the mountain.

According to Irish Mirror, the authorities were alerted to the man's condition and a helicopter was sent out to locate him.

Despite bad weather conditions, the Kerry Mountain Rescue Team found him and a paramedic along with seven rescue volunteers aided and worked on the hikers.

The man was then stretchered off the mountain and brought to University Hospital Kerry where he died.
