Girl, 3, loses fight for life after collision on rural road in Ireland

A THREE-year-old girl has lost her fight for life after she was involved in a two car collision on a rural road in Ireland. 

The young girl died in hospital following the incident which occurred in Co Kildare on Thursday.

The girl's father, who was driving the car, is continuing to received treatment in Tallaght Hospital following the crash.

The incident occurred when two cars collided at approximately 8.05am on the R413 Brannockstown to Kilcullen Road on Thursday February 1.

The girl was taken by ambulance to Naas General Hospital and later transferred to Temple Street, Children's University Hospital in Dublin, where she was pronounced dead yesterday.
