A CHILD abuse trial in Ireland has heard how a father allegedly forced his young son to have sex with his mother while he recorded it.
The boy is now 12 and living in care in Britain, Newstalk reports.
The child told the Central Criminal Court in Dublin via video link that his father and mother abused and neglected him for years and that he was regularly forced to have sex with his own mother.
He alleged that his father would record these sexual encounters and show the videos to people who called to the house.
His parents are charged with 82 charges of abuse which are alleged to have taken place at the family home in Waterford between 2007 and 2011.
They have pleaded not guilty to 16 counts each of sexual exploitation and one charge each of child cruelty.
The mother has denied 16 counts of sexual assault while the father denies 16 counts of anal rape and 16 counts of sexual assault with a poker, BreakingNews.ie reports.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said that his father regularly beat him and abused him with a hot poker.
He also alleged that he would be threatened by his father with knives and guns and that he was once put in a box that was nailed shut.
His parents have said that he was a “difficult” child and that he had an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and behavioural problems.
The trial is continuing at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin before Mr Justice Eagar and a jury.
