Family devastated after body of ‘Ireland’s best beatboxer’ found on mountain

THE body of missing Irishman Michael Cullen has been found three weeks after the talented beatboxer went missing.

Mr Cullen, 33, was last seen on January 9 in his native north Belfast.

In a post on social media this afternoon, Niall Cullen confirmed the heartbreaking news that his brother had been found dead on a local mountain.

"It's with the heaviest of hearts that I have to tell you that Michael has been recovered from Cavehill Mountain a short time ago," he said.

“The specialist rescue team are now bringing him back to his family home.

"Despite all of our best efforts over the past 3 weeks, tragically it is not the outcome that all of us wished and prayed so hard for”.

Michael, known as ‘Cull’ to his friends, was a well-known beatbox artist having performed across Britain and Ireland for a number of years.

Loved-ones of the 33-year-old undertook extensive efforts to find him after he went missing, launching the social media campaign #HelpFindMichaelCullen and distributing flyers across Belfast.

Heartbroken Niall added: "Michael was a highly talented guy as those who saw him perform will testify to, but he was also a much loved son, brother, cousin and friend to many whose hearts are now broken.

"I can only hope he will look down on us and see the huge amount of love we all had for him.”
