Body of a man, 40, recovered from burnt out vehicle in Irish town

A BODY of a man in his 40s was found in a burnt out car in a car park in an Irish town, it has emerged. 

Emergency services attended the scene in south Dublin on Thursday evening and the area was cordoned off for investigation.

An Garda Síochána are investigating the man's sudden death following the discovery close to Killiney Dart station yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí were alerted to the scene at 3.40pm, and Dublin Fire Brigade also assisted.

The body of the man has been removed to Loughlinstown Hospital in south Dublin, where a post-mortem will take place in the coming days.

A spokeswoman for An Garda Síochána said: "This is being treated as a tragic incident, and an investigation file will be prepared for the Coroners Court."
