ONE of the victims of the Berkeley tragedy has spoken out for the first time since the accident in a brave post on Facebook.
Clodagh Cogley, 21, is one of six Irish students who remain in hospital in America following the balcony collapse last Tuesday, June 16, which claimed the lives of six young Irishmen and women.
In her post, Clodagh goes into detail about her injuries – which include two collapsed lungs, five broken ribs and a broken spinal cord.
The Trinity College Dublin psychology student promised to live “the happiest and most fulfilling life possible” in honour of her friends who lost theirs.
She is being transferred to a new facility in San Francisco as she continues her recovery in the US.

Clodagh’s recovery hit headlines last week as British author JK Rowling tweeted well wishes to the Harry Potter fan as she was treated in California.
