Air support called in as search underway for nine year old boy missing in Northern Ireland

POLICE OFFICERS in Lurgan, County Armagh have drafted in the help of air support to search for a missing nine-year-old boy.

Connor Creaney went out to play with his friends on Thursday afternoon and failed to return home to the Shankill area of the town.

Connor is described as 4ft 5in tall with brown hair. He left home wearing a navy and blue jacket, navy tracksuit bottoms and grey trainers.

Local PSNI officers have so far been joined by Tactical Support Group officers and Community Rescue Service carrying out searches in the town.

PSNI Sergeant Melanie Gibson told the media: “If you have seen Connor or know of his whereabouts please call Lurgan police on 101, quoting reference 2 of 16/02/18.
