US TV host's hilarious reaction to Saoirse Ronan's crash-course on pronouncing Irish names

IT'S no secret that Irish names are tough to pronounce, so when Saoirse Ronan appeared on US television this week she seized the chance to give the American audience a crash-course on the Irish accent.

The Irish actress was a guest on The Late Show on Tuesday, and in the below clip from her interview with Stephen Colbert, she helped the TV host pronounce a handful of difficult Irish names, including Tadhg, Siobhán and Oisín.

When breaking down the pronunciation of Caoimhe, Colbert joked to Ronan, “You go to hell!”
