The snow fell hard in Ireland on St. Patrick's night

THE BEAST from the East has briefly returned it seems.

Following a weather warning from Met Éireann yesterday due to last until Monday morning at 9 am, the forecast was pretty accurate as most parts of Ireland are blinded by snow this morning.

Those who may be nursing a post-St. Patrick's Day hangover may be delighted or disgusted with the snow, meaning you have extra excuse to sleep in - but that also means you won't be able to get your well-deserved breakfast roll to soothe that headache.

Regardless of your plans today, the snowfall certainly is pretty and it's not often we get a bit of sneachta so we may as well relish it while it lasts.

The pictures of it are surely something to cherish, making Ireland even prettier than it already is.
