Limerick orchestra pay tribute to Dolores O'Riordan with stunning cover of 'Zombie'

SINCE Dolores O’Riordan’s passing in January, there have been some heartwarming tributes to the former Cranberries frontwoman who connected with so many people worldwide with her music.

Nowhere more than in her hometown of Limerick did she touch the hearts and souls of people, and her importance to the people of Limerick has been made clear since her death.

A new tribute was led by Limerick School of Music’s senior orchestra over the weekend, with their very unique version of the band’s 1994 hit, ‘Zombie’.

Conducted and arranged by local composer Anna Jane Ryan, the performance was part of a sold-out show which featured La Canada High School Orchestra from Los Angeles.

Furthermore, a special tribute concert for the Cranberries’ frontwoman is set to take place at Dolan’s Pub, Limerick on 5 July.

Titled ‘I Heart The Cranberries’, the show will feature performances from over 20 artists with all proceeds going to local charities Adapt House and Limerick Mental Health.
