Irish lad shocked as his mammy finds out about his holiday tattoo live on Good Morning Britain

BRITISH TV viewers have been left in hysterics after a freshly-tattooed Irish teen received a call from his mammy live on air.

Matthew Nolan, 18, is currently in Majorca with his mates and decided to get the title of summer super-hit ‘Despacito’ tattooed on his foot.

The Good Morning Britain crew were on hand to capture the moment he got his inking done after a night out on Magaluf’s infamous strip.

They caught up with Matthew the morning after to discuss his new body art – but he had no idea that mum Geraldine was on the phone.

Asked what she would think, Matthew replied: "She's watching now, I think, she likes the song anyway so that's my excuse.

"She's always singing the song she knows all the words in Spanish and French."

Later in the show, Matthew got the chance to find out exactly what his mammy thought as host Kate Garraway revealed she was also live on air.

Thankfully for (understandably shocked) Matthew, Geraldine took the news in her stride.

She joked: "Listen, there's no surprises there, Matthew's such a massive Justin Bieber fan anyway so no surprises with his choice of tattoo.

"He's also been quite clever getting it in an area down below like on his foot in case I would have changed the locks on the door this morning when he returns home."

She added that Matthew is “still welcome back home” in spite of his escapades and assured him that she took it in good spirits.

"That's just Matthew it's just part of his charm,” she said.

“I just laughed and I just took it in great fun, there are worse things happening in the world."

That’s one merciful Irish mammy!
