'Culturally sensitive support for Irish people living with memory loss is important'

A DEMENTIA awareness event took place at the Irish Embassy in London to mark Dementia Awareness Week.

Among those taking part were Irish in Britain, Irish Community Services, in Greenwich, Bexley and Lewisham, Luton Irish Forum and Southwark Irish Pensioners Project.

Subjects discussed included Irish in Britain's Cuimhne Irish Memory Loss Alliance and the importance of culturally sensitive support for Irish people living with memory loss.
