AN IRISH mammy and her attempts to kill a spider have become an internet sensation after racking up hundreds of thousands of hits.
Most people are wary of eight-legged creatures, but it took this Irish mother several minutes to gather courage to kill one.
Rather than helping his mother kill the rather large spider, Shane O'Connor filmed her as she attempted to swat it and posted the video on YouTube.
In this four minute video, his mother is petrified as she attempts to kill the spider.

At one point, Shane, who could be heard giggling and laughing in the background, unnerves his mother further by shouting at her.
After several minutes of combating where nerves, she finally plucks up the bravery to kill the spider with a spider.
"He's jiggling, he's still alive!" she shouts.
"I'm not going to be right after this," she concludes to her son.
When one YouTube user asked Shane why he didn't help his mother, he said: "It made for a better video."
This may not be a video his mother will want to watch but with over 250,000 views so far on his video on YouTube, many people certainly witnessed her battle with a spider.
