PASSENGERS on a Ryanair flight were treated to a pleasant surprise after a holiday-goer was asked to open his bag.
The French accordion player caught the attention of flight attendants as he sat in his seat with his instrument on his lap.
In the video recorded by a fellow passenger, the passenger was confused at first when two flight attendants asked him to take it out.
But the incident had a happy outcome when the man produced the accordion, which he was encouraged to play.
"What is this? An accordion? This is an Irish company and you have to play the accordion," one flight attendant told the man.
With a little encouragement from his fellow passengers, the accordion player began to play Dirty Old Town by The Pogues, leaving fellow passengers clapping and his Irish neighbour singing along.
