JACKIE Ward felt “like royalty” when she went along to the Robert Kirby salon in Balham to collect her Irish Post prize this month.
The lucky winner of our fantastic £250 Robert Kirby makeover competition had a “day to remember” with the team at the prestigious salon, opened by the Dublin-born hairstylist to the stars last year.
“I had an absolutely wonderful day,” she told The Irish Post this week.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to The Irish Post and everyone at the salon who treated me and my friend – who came along for the trip – like royalty,” she added.
Ms Ward, who lives in Essex, made a day of her trip to London – where she and a friend went on to enjoy dinner and a show after her afternoon of pampering in the salon.
“Robert’s salon is beautiful and we were treated to tea and coffee on trays on arrival,” she explained.
“I love my new cut and glossing treatment,” she added, “and I was also given a goodie bag of shampoo, conditioner and hairspray to take home, which was fantastic. Robert was very knowledgeable and gave me some good hair tips too, so all in all it was truly a day to remember.”
After years working at high-end salons in and around Mayfair, Robert Kirby launched his flagship London store in Balham last autumn.
