A BRITISH online supermarket has become the first in the UK to stock water infused with cannabis oil.
Love Hemp Water launched today in Ocado, who said it was 'one of the most interesting new products we have seen'.
“There’s a growing understanding of the wide ranging benefits of cannabis oil to health and well-being which is why we have launched the first every day hemp water product," said Tony Calamita, co-founder of Love Hemp Water.
According to the Cannabis Trades Association UK, the number of people using cannabidiol (CBD) oil in Britain has grown from 125,000 to 250,000 in the past year.
Ocado's latest addition to shelves contains 2mg of natural hemp extract.
It's available in 500ml and 1.5 litre bottles at a cost of £1.29 per bottle or £11.99 for an eight pack of 1.5L.
Hemp was the first plant processed and used by humans over 12,000 years ago.
A World Health Organisation report said that CBD oils – completely natural supplements sourced from low-level THC Cannabis Sativa hemp – have benefits for Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, MS, pain, anxiety, depression, cancer and diabetic complications.
