I SHOULD add my congratulations, on the appointment of a new Editor, to those already submitted by your readers. I had hoped that a youthful, vigorous new leader at the helm would mean more extensive coverage of world events and yet, disappointingly, this week’s issue carries no reference to the Date Festival in The Emirates. Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose! Perhaps your foreign language department could translate the following phrase (which has just occurred to me) into French, so that it may become common currency, in a few generations: The more one edits, the less one has!
