Beefing up Birmingham
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
HAVING been reminded recently of the bovine bother on the border (The Irish Post, March 8) I was delighted to discover that beefy bragging rights are not exclusive to the residents of the Cooley Peninsula!

Accent is still alive in Ireland
Wednesday, April 16, 2008
JOE Horgan seems to have touched a nerve by saying that Irish accents are disappearing in today’s Ireland. Levelling out a bit perhaps but disappearing? I don’t think so.
