The Waterboys have announced their 2015 British tour, including a performance at the Liverpool Empire on November 22, 2015.
“People should expect the unexpected from The Waterboys,” says lead singer Mike Scott in advance of the release of the band’s 11th album, Modern Blues, in January.
Described as a “freewheeling rock and roll record with a southern soul edge”, Modern Blues was recorded in Nashville by a line-up including Muscle Shoals legend David Hood on bass and Zach Ernst, who joins Mike Scott, Irish electric fiddle great Steve Wickham and drummer Ralph Salmins on the touring line-up next year.
