Drama Award sponsored by Gift Voucher Shop.

The Drama Award went to actor Chris O'Dowd and it capped an impressive year for the Roscommon-born star who jumped into our collective consciousness thanks to his impressive turn in Channel 4's The IT Crowd.

Chris also garnered a Scottish Bafta for Best Actor for his performance in last year's Edinburgh-set film Festival.

Back in time he once earned a crust as a Bob Geldof impersonator - and ruefully admitted his younger days saw him amass an amazing 1,000-strong collection of Yorkie bar wrappers.

"I just liked the design," he told the audience.

Not that Chris collects them anymore - instead he's more than happy collecting awards for his amazing comic talent
